If you are looking for the server version of the Modpack go to the page for the same version as the client version and scroll down to the Files Section (Note: You will need OpenJDK installed on your Machine in order for the modpack to work, for Windows go here, for MacOS go here and for Linux go to the Installing 64-Bit JDK on Linux Platforms section here)

Networking

As for the networking I would recommend using Playit because it is an additional application that you run alongside the server instance to take care of the networking side of things and I think we all like it when things are simpler to install!
