Beggars Mod — Official Gameplay & Features
Mod Overview
Mod Name: Beggars
Supported Version: Minecraft Java 1.20.1 (Forge 47.x.x)
Author: DY_XiaoJiaZi
Type: Core Survival Overhaul
Core Rule: You can only get resources by begging mobs with a Begging Bowl. No normal resource gathering.
You are a wandering beggar instead of a miner or farmer. The only way to survive is to beg every mob for supplies. Each mob gives different loot.
Core Gameplay
- Begging Bowl
You get a Begging Bowl in the first inventory slot when you spawn.
The bowl is locked permanently. You cannot move, drop, store or destroy it.
You can only beg mobs while holding this bowl. - Begging Method
Sneak and hold right-click at any mob within 6 blocks for 3 full seconds to finish begging.
A blue border and countdown show during charging.
Let go, stand up, move away or kill the mob to cancel begging.
The mob will stare at you for 2 seconds after successful begging. - Mob Cooldown Mechanic
Each mob has its own 15-minute cooldown after giving loot. It will refuse to beg again during cooldown. - Loot System & Tiers
You get 1–3 item types per successful beg, total 10–30 items.
Loot depends on three factors: mob type, biome, dimension.
50% chance for Bonus Blessing: extra rare loot with tier guarantee system
- 10 common drops = guaranteed rare
- 10 rare drops = guaranteed epic
- 5 epic drops = guaranteed legendary
- 3 legendary drops = guaranteed mythic
- Villager Job Rewards
Different villagers give different items based on jobs:
- Farmer: Crops, bread, pumpkins
- Librarian: Paper, books
- Weaponsmith: Iron ingots, coal
- Unemployed: Bread & basic crops
20% chance to get diamonds, emeralds or random enchanted books.
- Special Item Rules
- Enchanted books get random non-curse, non-treasure enchantments.
- Unstackable items (tools, buckets, elytra) always spawn 1 piece.
Survival Rule Changes - No Crafting Tables: You cannot open crafting tables. Only the 2×2 personal crafting grid works.
- Tools Still Usable: Pickaxes, axes, hoes and shears work normally.
- No Normal Resource Farming: Mining blocks drops nothing. All materials must come from begging.
