Lunar Armor Hud

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve released a mod. Life got in the way for a bit, but I’m back with something I’ve wanted for a long time.

Yes, I took inspiration from Lunar Client’s armor HUD — but as a Bedwars player, I noticed something missing. Lunar doesn’t let you view protection values without opening your inventory. That’s a huge deal in PvP, so I decided to make my own version with the functionality I always wished was there.

So here it is: Lunar Armor HUD — a mod inspired by Lunar but with my own twist. I hope it helps you as much as it helps me.

About This Mod

Lunar Armor HUD is a lightweight Forge mod for Minecraft 1.8.9 that brings a Lunar Client–inspired armor durability HUD to your game.
It shows your equipped armor pieces right on your screen, with either durability or protection details — no need to open your inventory mid-fight.

This mod is perfect for PvP players (Bedwars, Skywars, UHC, Skyblock) and survival players who want to avoid the frustration of armor breaking at the worst possible moment.

How to Use

Default Keybind

Right Alt (R-ALT) → Opens the Armor HUD settings menu.

HUD Options

Toggle HUD → Turn the HUD on or off.

Position Selector → Choose from 6 preset positions:

Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right, Inventory Left, Inventory Right

Border Option → Toggle a clean border around armor icons.

Status Mode → Switch between:

Protection Mode (shows enchantment protection)

Durability Mode (shows remaining durability, e.g., 151/364)

Q: Does this give unfair advantages?
A: No. It only displays information already available in your inventory — just in a cleaner, faster way.

Q: Is this Hypixel-safe?
A: Yes! This mod is 100% safe to use on Hypixel and similar servers.

Q: Can I change the keybind?
A: Absolutely. You can remap it under Minecraft Settings → Controls → Lunar Armor HUD.

Q: What versions are supported?
A: This release is for Minecraft Forge 1.8.9. If there’s enough demand, I’ll look into updating it for newer versions.
