About

This Mod\Datapack was originally designed as an alternative of "tp" command,which is almost unavoidable while playing with others.Based on this, it derived many useful teleportation methods, with which you can
find it more convenient to enjoy vanilla survival without breaking the game balance of vanilla Minecraft.

Notes

  • If using JEI to check the recipes, please check the usage of Ender Pearl instead of searching by name.
  • Use the command "/loot give @s loot vanilla_portal:*" to get item.

After all this mod developed from a datapack.

Items Provided

Scrolls - Most of which is single-use:

  • Teleport Scroll - Recording position and allowing you to teleport back instantly;
  • Attached Scroll - Binding the crafter and allowing your friends to teleport to you instantly;
  • Area Teleport Scroll - Recording position and allowing you to teleport entities in a certain area;
  • Advanced Scroll - Same as Tp Scroll, but would record your current position when you teleport back, which allows you to teleport back and forth.
  • Dimension Leap Scroll - As its name indicates, it allows you to leap between dimensions, which means wherever you are, your home is always there waiting for you.(Its recipe needs Mod Thermal Foundation to unlock)
  • Random Teleporter - Super refined chorus fruit! Teleport you randomly in 400 blocks range, or in 300 blocks range underground, or in 50 blocks with an orienting offset of 200 blocks.(If you loaded Mod Thermal Foundation, there are expanded kinds whose range reaches 1680/1200/720 blocks)

Portal - A gateway pointing to recorded position, can only be placed in the same dimension.Notice that it is a structure scaled 1×3×1 blocks.Reserve enough space to place it.You can expand it to 4 blocks height by placing obsidian above the structure then destorying the top obsidian of it.

Misc - Fun or Functional:

  • Marshaler - Sounds cool, but all it can do is sending message to ask for reinforcement.Its advantage is to save the typing time...maybe useful during battling?(Durability:5 below v3.0.0\16)
  • Player Totem - Binding the crafter and allowing others to send item to you distantly.Notice that it won't be consumed, it consumed 1 ender pearl per tramsmission instead.
  • Ender Book - Emmm...Bundle Book specially designed for scrolls,only to solve unstackable problem.(It can only store Tp Scroll and Attached Scroll below v3.0.3)
  • Final Book - Upgraded version of Ender Book, allowing players to teleport without consuming the scroll itself.Certainly at the cost of equal amount of ender pearls.

Unique Recipe

Final Book has no common recipes. To get a Final Book, first of all you need two near End Crystal, then throw an Ender Book and a Shulker Shell to their midst, this compound would draw the power of End Crystal.Wait for the processing and get the Final Book.Notice that the scrolls kept in the Ender Book would be destroyed during processing.

Just like Final Book, many Unique Recipes have been added to v3.0.7 in Minecraft 1.21. They allow you to craft those scrolls that need Thermal or TConstruct. To view details, check the advancement page named "Ender Tech-Unique Recipes", you need to get key item to unlock it at first.

Dimension Compatibility

This entry is for v2.0.2 and below (Minecraft 1.17 - 1.20.1).

These versions have dimension compatibility problems,they can only support certain dimensions:

The incompatibility appears in Chunk Unload Queue and Dimension Leap Scroll,which means:

  • You can still use common scrolls in these dimensions, but cause the forceloaded chunks can not be unloaded, your game lag will be high after using plenty of scrolls.
  • You can not use Dimension Leap Scroll pointing to these dimensions.Notice that you can use Dimension Leap Scroll pointing to other compatible dimensions in these dimensions.

If you want to add compatible dimensions, modify the file ./data/dimensions/ , imitate the existing format.

Bonus Functions

This entry is for v2.0.2 and below (Minecraft 1.17 - 1.20.1).

This Mod/Datapack has four unique function-command:

/function forceload:add

Add current chunk to forceload queue.A chunk can be added repeatedly.

/function forceload:remove

Add current chunk to unload queue.A forceloaded chunk will be unloaded only when it were completely removed from forceload queue.

/function forceload:query

Test how many times the current chunk was added to the forceload queue.

/function forceload:delete

Forcedelete current chunk from forceload queue.
