The Horrors Within is an immersive, psychological horror modpack designed to transform your familiar Minecraft world into a terrifying, paranoia-inducing nightmare. If you feel like vanilla survival has gotten too easy or safe, this pack will make you dread the setting sun. Built around unpredictable entities, stalking monsters, and sensory overhauls, you will quickly realize that you are no longer alone in this world.

This pack carefully curates a selection of the most terrifying modern horror mods, ambient sound physics, and abandoned world generation to completely overhaul the feel of the game.

(Note: I highly recommend playing with the included Shaders enabled to get the VHS lighting and atmosphere exactly as intended!)

How to Set Up a The Horrors Within Server

Order Server

Choose at least 6 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for The Horrors Within). Based on player count: per 5 players.

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "The Horrors Within" and click "Install". The forge loader and Minecraft 1.20.1 are configured automatically.

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!
