About this Mod
Command Logger
Command Logger is a lightweight server-side mod for Minecraft Forge that records and displays commands executed by players and the server console in real time. No client installation is required.
Designed with transparency and accountability in mind, the mod allows players to verify which commands are publicly logged while giving server administrators flexible tools to manage hidden commands when necessary. This helps build trust between staff and the community by making command logging policies visible rather than relying solely on administrator discretion.
Features
- Real-time command logging for players and the server console.
- Server-side only — players do not need to install the mod.
- Personal and global hidden command lists.
- Command group management for easier configuration.
- Stealth Mode for moderators and operators.
- Public visibility of globally hidden commands via /cmdlog globalhiddenlist to improve transparency and fairness.
- Separate permissions for Players, Moderators, and Operators.

Command Logger server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Command Logger compatible with forge?
Command Logger officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Command Logger – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Command Logger consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
