What does mod do?
With this mod, your parrots will remember the sounds they hear and replay them at random moments during gameplay, or whenever you ask them to.
Features
Parrots can remember the last 64 sounds they heard in-game (except for music, jukeboxes, player sounds, and themselves). At a random moment, they will replay a sound, or they will do so when you click on them while you are sitting. All parrots have a 30-second cooldown, so you can't spam them.
Some hotkeys
Hold Shift and press RMB with an empty hand while looking at a parrot to make it produce a unique sound.
Why does this mod exist?
This mod was made for fun and occasional scary moments (since it can remember eerie mineshaft sounds too!). Have fun with it! You can also collect parrots with unique sounds (like the Ender Dragon's death and others). I honestly think parrots might become the cause of some wars on your servers!

How can I help?
Right now, the mod supports only two languages: Russian (ru_ru) and English (en_us). You can help by adding other languages!

How to Install Educate Your Parrots on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Educate Your Parrots". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Educate Your Parrots server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Educate Your Parrots consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
