iMode adds witchery by rituals and contracts; 4 new bosses and increases difficulty the further you are from spawn. Oh and a procedural generation dungeon.

About this Mod
iMode
iMode is a dark fantasy progression mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1. Its main goal is to make the world become more dangerous the farther players travel from spawn, creating a stronger sense of exploration, preparation, and survival pressure.
The mod adds distance-based difficulty zones, stronger mobs, custom progression, ritual magic, mana systems, spell scrolls, a Grimoire, contracts, custom dungeon generation, bosses, and witch-themed blocks/items.
Instead of only adding stronger gear, iMode focuses mostly on making the world harsher and more mysterious. Players are pushed to use rituals, magic, positioning, preparation, and outside progression tools to survive deeper zones.
Important recommendation
iMode makes Minecraft significantly harder, but it does not yet fully provide all the gear, enchantments, weapons, or strengthening systems needed to compensate for that difficulty. For the best experience, it is recommended to play iMode alongside other mods that add stronger armor, weapons, enchantments, accessories, or player-strengthening mechanics.

Beta warning
This is an early beta. Balance is not final, and many systems are still being expanded or reworked. Dungeons, bosses, rituals, contracts, spells, mob scaling, loot, and progression may change heavily between versions.
A new world is recommended.

iMode server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.6). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is iMode compatible with forge?
iMode officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.6, 1.20.5, 1.20.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with iMode – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if iMode consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
