Edit Swatch Names
Change the names of the regular swatches! (Swatch 1, Swatch 2, Swatch 3, etc)
Description
Due to the proliferation of generative AI use in the modding community and its support from the game developers, I will no longer be developing mods for Satisfactory. My currently released will be kept updated for compatibility only. Thankyou for your understanding.
___The mod allows players to further customize their swatch slots by adding the option to rename them!
Simply click the "Edit Name" button at the top of any of the regular swatch options (the ones that follow the naming convention of "Swatch [number]") to open up a new widget that lets you input the desired new name of the swatch.
Duplicate names are not allowed, nor is leaving the naming field empty (no name).
Paint Menu will need to be reopened to see changes made by other players on dedicated servers.
Pairs nicely with [+64 Extra Swatch Slots](https://ficsit.app/mod/ExtraSwatchSlots)!

Frequently Asked Questions
Edit Swatch Names not working after update – what to do?
After a Satisfactory update, mods need to be updated. Check ficsit.app whether Edit Swatch Names has been updated for the new game version. With Mado Hosting: open the mod manager and click "Update All". If the mod hasn't been updated yet, temporarily remove it so the server starts.
Edit Swatch Names causing crashes in multiplayer – solution
Most common cause: all players must have exactly the same mod version installed. Check server logs for "ModMismatch" or "Version Conflict". Ensure all players use Edit Swatch Names v1.1.2 and the same SML. With Mado Hosting, Satisfactory servers run with 6 GB RAM for stable multiplayer performance.
Is Edit Swatch Names compatible with other Satisfactory mods?
Edit Swatch Names uses the Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML). Generally, SML-based mods are cross-compatible, but mods modifying the same game systems can cause conflicts. Test new mod combinations on a backup save. The Mado dashboard automatically detects known conflicts and warns you.
