Description

The purpose of this mod is to add a bit more value in pursuing nuclear power. With how complex getting all the way to Ficsonium Fuel Rods is, I felt there should be more power received for all that effort. To this effect, once unlocking Peak Efficiency, you will have a new research tree in the MAM. Each node will unlock an efficiency bonus for that fuel type, starting with Uranium and ending with Ficsonium.

Multiplayer Compatible!

How is this mod different from other mods that try to achieve the same results?

Great question, the main difference is how this mod increases the power output. Instead of changing the energy value of the items, which leads to Nuclear Power Generators taking longer to burn the fuel, this mod adds a hidden power connection to Nuclear Power Generators adding a configurable amount of extra power for each fuel type. The biggest benefit to this method is it does not change the required inputs and outputs or number of required Nuclear Power Generators for existing factories. It also allows for easy planning as everything stays vanilla, except for outputted power, allowing for use of the many available planning tools.

Configurable Values:

Nuclear Tier Boost - Default 2500

Plutonium Tier Boost - Default 5000

Ficsonium Tier Boost - Default 10000

These each set the base added amount of extra MW per Nuclear Power Generator. These values will scale with overclocking. For example, using defaults, an efficient Nuclear Power Generator burning Plutonium Fuel Rods overclocked to 250% will have an extra power boost of 12500 MW applied, for a total of 18750 MW (6250 MW from stock reactor).
