Description

There was a land beyond the light, and from the light a hope has come. The people prayed and blessed they were, as no train came late and speed was free.

Not that free though.

Very late game trying-not-to-cheat mod - high gains, high costs railways.

Every added buildable uses late and very late game parts.
Every main category has a separate unlock in HUB at Tier 8.
Everything is really expensive compared to vanilla railways.

-----
Contents:

1. Hight-speed railworks - mostly for personal usage and low amounts, long distance transport

A. Light locomotive

Gains:
- goes up to over 450km/h on straight tracks in like 5-10sec, potentially could go near 600km/h on a long straight

Costs:
- slows down on track turns, you need gentle curves for that baby
- power consumption 0,2-12GW, around 1,5-3GW on average, power storage saves your brakers if you are low on power
- won't handle heavy loads

B. Light freight cars

Gains:
- drastically reduced weight of the cars themselves
- reduced weight of the load
- reduced friction

Costs:
- reduced max load from 32 to 24 slots

2. Heavy railworks - mostly for automation and the personal build train stacked with resources

A. Heavy locomotive

Gains:
- handles very heavy loads, one locomotive is completely fine hauling the equivalent of 36 fully loaded normal cars
- good acceleration even under heavy load
- max speed improved to 160km/h

Costs:
- power consumption 0,5-3GW
- always watches you (might be a gain if you are into it)

B. Heavy freight cars

Gains:
- increased inventory size from 32 to 160 slots

Costs:
- own mass increased 4 times

C. Heavy (fluid) freight platform

Gains:
- inventory size increased from 48 to 320 slots, fluid capacity from 2400m3 to 16000m3

Costs:
- operational (while loading/unloading) power consumption 600MW up from 50

3. Gravity assisted railworks

A. Gravity assisted railway

Gains:
- tracks can be put up on 45 degree slope

Costs:

- tracks can bend only half as much as the vanilla ones

---------------------
It's a work in progress, haven't been tested thoroughly, esp. with the automation, so the feedback is welcome (ping me on Sati mod discord or send me a mail pigeon).

Stuff I wanna do but need to learn first / work harder / pray more vigorously:
- custom models for trains (never modeled in 3d so that's like fuuuuture)
- make heavy freight station into 2 stations, loading and unloading one, both with 4 inputs/outputs respectively (should be easy)
- reduce vertical bending on Gravitracks, with the current allowed angle they look completely stupid when bent at max curve (couldn't find the property controlling that)
- custom horns (I was warned it's harder than it seems)
- setting tracks on fire after heavy loco (I just came up with that now)
- sun going black and demons wailing (hugs and kisses)
- ah right, the reason I actually started working on this mod - derailing at high speeds and on the end of the tracks (gotta go deeper into C++ for that though)

I hope the mod turns to be enjoyable for you guys, it sure is for me and my therapist told me that's all that matters xoxo

Frequently Asked Questions

Trainsition not working after update – what to do?

After a Satisfactory update, mods need to be updated. Check ficsit.app whether Trainsition has been updated for the new game version. With Mado Hosting: open the mod manager and click "Update All". If the mod hasn't been updated yet, temporarily remove it so the server starts.

Trainsition causing crashes in multiplayer – solution

Most common cause: all players must have exactly the same mod version installed. Check server logs for "ModMismatch" or "Version Conflict". Ensure all players use Trainsition v1.0.2 and the same SML. With Mado Hosting, Satisfactory servers run with 6 GB RAM for stable multiplayer performance.

Is Trainsition compatible with other Satisfactory mods?

Trainsition uses the Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML). Generally, SML-based mods are cross-compatible, but mods modifying the same game systems can cause conflicts. Test new mod combinations on a backup save. The Mado dashboard automatically detects known conflicts and warns you.
