Actually Good Vanilla
Minecraft is great. It always has been.
But after years of updates, there are still countless little things that could make the game feel more immersive, more polished, and simply more enjoyable to play. That's where Actually Good Vanilla comes in.
Actually Good Vanilla is a lightweight enhancement pack designed for players who love the vanilla Minecraft experience but want it to feel more modern, atmospheric, and refined. Rather than completely changing the game with massive content additions, complex technology systems, or extensive progression overhauls, this pack focuses on improving what already makes Minecraft special.
Every mod has been selected with one goal in mind: make vanilla Minecraft better without making it feel modded.
Enhanced Atmosphere
The world feels more alive thanks to improved ambient effects and environmental audio. You'll hear richer natural sounds as you explore forests, caves, oceans, and mountains, helping every biome feel more distinct and immersive. Small details add up to create a world that feels deeper and more believable without changing the core gameplay you know and love.
Better Exploration
Getting lost can be fun—but finding your way back is even better. With an integrated world map, exploring massive worlds becomes far more convenient. Track your adventures, mark important locations, and navigate with confidence while still enjoying the freedom of discovery.
Improved Visuals
Vanilla Minecraft's art style remains completely intact, but visual enhancements make the game feel smoother and more polished. Connected textures help blocks blend together naturally, while camera improvements create a more dynamic and satisfying experience when moving through the world.
Quality of Life Done Right
Sometimes the best improvements are the ones you stop noticing because they feel like they should have been in the game all along.
Actually Good Vanilla includes numerous quality-of-life features such as:
Better item handling and inventory interactions,
Zoom functionality for scouting distant landmarks and builds,
Player heads displayed in chat for easier multiplayer communication,
Improved camera behavior and movement,
A seamless world map for navigation and exploration
These features reduce frustration and improve convenience without trivializing gameplay.

Can I add custom mods to Actually Good Vanilla [AGV] without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.11). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
