About this Modpack
A 1.21.1 experience predicated on the seamless integration of physics-based flight, heavy industry, and dimensional exploration within an active multiplayer environment.
In this project, the core focus is placed upon Create: Aeronautics, which provides the foundation for players to construct fully functioning airships, trains, and land vehicles. To provide justification for these massive builds, the pack pairs this technology with completely overhauled world generation, ensuring that long-distance travel and exploration are not merely late-game luxuries, but absolutely necessary components of the gameplay loop.
🛠️ Industry and Engineering
To establish a truly substantive industrial experience, the base Create ecosystem is heavily expanded. Through the implementation of Steam 'n' Rails, Diesel Generators, and Create: Nuclear, players are granted the prerequisites needed to manage high-tier power and logistics. Furthermore, because the Overworld is entirely overhauled by Terralith and Tectonic, the environments are vast and extraordinarily difficult to traverse on foot. Distant Horizons is utilized so players can view these massive landscapes directly from the decks of their airships. Consequently, to navigate and survive these environments safely, players must leverage Create: Big Cannons to arm their vessels and defend their infrastructure.
⚔️ Combat and Dimensional Exploration
While the pack provides a strong foundation for technological progression, it also challenges the player through overhauled dimensions and combat mechanics. The Aether is fully integrated alongside comprehensive transformations of the Nether and End using Incendium and Nullscape. Within these dimensions, as well as the Overworld, players will encounter massive raid targets generated by the YUNG's Better series and When Dungeons Arise. To combat these threats, the melee system is completely replaced by Better Combat, and Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks introduces a functional, progression-based magic alternative for those who prefer staves over wrenches. Ultimately, these systems culminate in thrilling, strategy-heavy encounters governed by Bosses of Mass Destruction.
🌾 Community and Agriculture
From a community-based standpoint, the pack is inherently designed to foster a highly engaging server environment. To prevent the exhaustion of resources in multiplayer, Lootr is implemented to provide instanced chests, ensuring that exploration remains rewarding for all users regardless of when they join. Beyond exploration, the pack nourishes a living world through a massive culinary and agricultural ecosystem. The entire Farmer's Delight collection, alongside the comprehensive Let's Do series, allows players to establish functional bakeries, breweries, and vineyards, promoting cooperation and a vibrant shared social life within the server.
⚡ Optimization and Performance
Finally, the entire experience is contingent on the absolute effectiveness and reliability of its performance. By incorporating a heavy optimization suite—including Sodium, Iris, ModernFix, FerriteCore, and Lithium—the pack ensures lightning-fast load times and remarkably stable framerates, even when managing complex physics entities. It is highly recommended that users allocate between 5GB and 8GB of RAM, and rely upon the integrated EMI systems for lightweight recipe lookups. Through these careful optimizations, Aeronautics: Cogs and Clouds provides a definitive, highly stable multiplayer experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
Aeronautics: Cogs and Clouds server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong neoforge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Aeronautics: Cogs and Clouds server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).
Can I add custom mods to Aeronautics: Cogs and Clouds without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (neoforge) and same Minecraft version (1.21.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
Aeronautics: Cogs and Clouds server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
