About this Modpack

Introduction (no way):

With the help of create mod, valkyrien skies, Big Cannons, clockwork and at this point I don't even know, how many other mods, you can design, create and engineer your dream vehicle of DESTRUCTION AND VICTORY!

Meaningless Info:

This modpack just like my previous one is forked from hammer! But this time depending on what are you doing, you might feel some serious stutters sometimes if you're on low-end hardware like me. Maybe even have bad ping for no reason. I recommend making a dedicated server, but with such a modpack with this magnitude of mods, I made that as an optional choice, with the solution below:

Multiplayer:

Essential should work fine, but in some cases it might cause unexpected crashes. The modpack has e4mc preinstalled by default (guide on how to use it can be found at the bottom of changelog).

Other stuff:

The modpack was NOT made to be played in survival originally! If you like the hustle then go for it, but I originally intended it to be played in creative mode

What is happening?

May have noticed the modpack name change.

Mainly for stability reasons I'm splitting this modpack into specialized modpacks. There will be 3 more modpacks:

  • 1 focused on combat resembling what humanity had before the 1980s (Mainly simple tanks, planes, ships and infantry (ironically has modern weapons))
  • 1 focused on space combat (So spaceships with weapons and stuff)
  • 1 focused on modern day combat. (Advanced tech, nukes and much more, but with warium being the main focus)

This modpack?

This modpack won't disappear anytime soon! And also it will be basically the full feature experience, but with some quirks though.

Now go! BUILD! CONQUER YOUR WORLD!

Frequently Asked Questions

Army Engineer: Total Warfare server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Army Engineer: Total Warfare server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Army Engineer: Total Warfare without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (forge) and same Minecraft version (1.20.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Army Engineer: Total Warfare server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
