- What is BVA?
BVA (Better Vanilla Animations) is modpack for modern versions of minecraft that aims to upgrade the basic animations and texture of the game do a more advanced and refined style.
**Important: We are currently atempting to port/revamp the modpack for newer versions of minecraft and we also want to focus more on vfx and sfx since the animation part of the pack is mostly already done. **
FAQ
- Shader compatibility
Shaders like Complentary reimagined or BSL are supported for the modpack due to the ammount of customization that they offer. Other shaders might not suppor the animations that this mods and texturepacks offer so it is not recommended to use any external shaders.
- Updating the pack
We are currently working on a new version for 1.21 that adds new features like [REDACTED]
and we are also working on porting the modpack to 1.21.4 or 1.21.5 which comes with new texturing features. So be patient and please bare with us.

How to Set Up a Better Vanilla Animations Server
Order Server
Choose at least 6 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for Better Vanilla Animations). Based on player count: per 5 players.
Install Modpack in Dashboard
Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "Better Vanilla Animations" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.21 are configured automatically.
Start Server & Play
Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

Better Vanilla Animations server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. How much RAM does a Better Vanilla Animations server really need?
