About this Modpack
the essential mods for your enhanced BlockGame experience!
Please keep in mind that these mods are my personal opinion of what you need in order to have a better time in Blockgame. To actually play Blockgame, all you need is Vanilla. This modpack is simply meant to ease the installation process of a few QOL mods.

Additional info about each mod below
BlockGame Enhanced
This is the official mod for the BlockGame server.
BlockGame Journal
This is an unofficial mod created by bnjc and keeps track of NPC recipes you've inspected.
BlockGame Profiles
Swap between attributes and save them in separate profiles.
Xaero's Minimap and World Map
Adds a world map and minimap to your Minecraft. It's ok to use any version of this because the server will override anything that would give you an unfair advantage over other players.
Jade
This adds item information to what you're looking at and player/item names on top of items.
Keybinds Gallore Plus
Opens a pie menu when a key bound to multiple actions is pressed. Very useful for creating menus for similar functionalities!
Chat Binds
This one, in addition to Keybinds Gallore, allows you to bind multiple teleport commands to a single key, so that constantly visiting different towns becomes as easy as holding down a button and releasing it!
Chat Calc
A very simple-straightforward mod that turns your chat into a calculator! Just type in any maths and the result will appear as a pop-up. Very useful for calculating those pesky essence prices!
Zoomify
Adds Zoom and Cinematic Zoom to your game. Very useful and very pretty.
Mod Menu
Lets you access each mods' configuration section by adding a "Mods" button to your main menu.
Complementary Shaders - Reimagined
Shaders are pretty. You can enable/disable this by heading over to Options > Video settings > Shader Packs...
Resource Packs
My main pick for this modpack is Better Blockgame by nosika, but I also highly recommend you checkout other resource packs made by the community!

Frequently Asked Questions
Blockgame Essentials server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Blockgame Essentials server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).
Can I add custom mods to Blockgame Essentials without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.20.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
Blockgame Essentials server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
