Box'd
A Modpack for random, vanilla-esque mods that tries not to stray too far from the regular, boxy gameplay.
About this Modpack
BOX'D
pronounced as boxed ; is a Fabric/Quilt Modpack that's basically my (the creator's) attempt at making some sort of "Vanilla+" styled pack. Most mods included will be pretty basic, but there will also be a small sprinkling of spice that is sure to give the player a more fun experience overall while also not straying *too* far from usual.
Features
Some of my main focuses will be Decorations and Extra Features. But of course, there will be some mods that include some Optimization, QoL and even some random mods that are there simply because of their fun features. While i did say this was trying to go for a "Vanilla+" style, do expect a lot of quirky mods that mess around with the game quite a bit.
I'M NOT SURE IF THIS WILL WORK ON MULTIPLAYER! While it's entirely possible for you to run these mods on a server with your friends, I'm not 100% sure how the experience will be as i'm mainly focusing on the Singleplayer side of things.
Afterall, this started mostly as a way to share what mods i use to my friends.

Helpful Resources:
- Origins++ Wiki
The addition of Origins++ adds a TON of more choices for Origins. Having a quick look at the O++ wiki will help so you don't have to spend tons of minutes in-game just to choose an Origin. - Spellbound Weapons Wiki
Spellbound Weapons adds a couple of weapons and tools, some having special effects that are explained well in it's wiki. - Supplementaries Wiki
Due to how customizable this mod is (along with having some special blocks/items that are attainable in special ways) it's wiki could prove to be useful for certain features.
Notable Bugs/Conflicts
none... for now.
This is my first modpack, so... It probably will be somewhat scuffed. My socials are open for DMs if you have any suggestions!

Frequently Asked Questions
Box'd server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong quilt loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Box'd server really need?
Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).
Can I add custom mods to Box'd without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (quilt) and same Minecraft version (1.20.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
Box'd server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
