About this Modpack

🌍 Cobblemon Empire

Where Trainers Become Legends

Cobblemon Empire is a custom Pokémon network built from the ground up using Cobblemon on Fabric, designed to feel like a living, breathing multiplayer Pokémon world inside Minecraft.

The network is split into two connected experiences, giving players both long-term progression and a full story adventure.

🏰 Main World – Economy & Multiplayer Progression

The main server is a persistent multiplayer world focused on community, progression, and building your legacy.

Players can:

  • Catch and train hundreds of Pokémon
  • Challenge gyms and powerful trainers
  • Battle other players
  • Choose jobs and max out the skill trees
  • Trade on the global market
  • Build towns, bases, and factions with friends
  • Participate in events and tournaments

Everything is designed around fair gameplay and long-term achievement — no pay-to-win, just real progression.

📖 Rotating Story Mode – Currently: Kalos-Inspired Adventure

Cobblemon Empire also features a full story mode server, offering a handcrafted campaign inspired by the Kalos region and the events of Pokémon X & Y.

In story mode, you can:

  • Start fresh with your own party
  • Travel through custom cities and routes, with custom spawns
  • Challenge gym leaders, with exciting puzzles
  • Battle rival trainers
  • Progress through a structured narrative using NPCs and quests

When you finish (or anytime you choose), you can transfer your Pokémon party into the main server, allowing your adventure team to continue their journey in the multiplayer world.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cobblemon Empire server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Cobblemon Empire server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Cobblemon Empire without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Cobblemon Empire server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
