About this Modpack

Cookie’s Better Minecraft ⛏️

Welcome to my personal take on Minecraft:
Built for players who want the vanilla experience but with improved visuals, smoother performance, and modern quality-of-life enhancements. I’ve spent time carefully choosing mods that keep the heart of Minecraft intact while adding small yet impactful improvements. Whether you’re exploring vast landscapes, building your dream base, or adventuring with friends, this modpack is designed to make everything feel better.

Why I Created This Pack

I’ve always loved Minecraft, but I felt like there was something missing in most of the modpacks I tried. Many of them either went overboard with complexity or so subtle that I couldn't tell that it was modded. I wanted a modpack that improved performance, added new features, and enhanced visuals without changing the core of the game too much. So, I decided to create my own, Cookie’s Better MC. My goal was to offer a smooth experience for everyone, while keeping the gameplay simple and enjoyable with big QoL Improvements like a Minimap, Waypoints, a Better F3 menu and more. This pack is for anyone who wants Minecraft to feel more polished and fun, without losing that familiar charm!

Why It’s Better

1. Performance Tweaks for a Smooth Experience

No one likes lag, especially when you’re in the End fighting Shulkers or while travelling with an Elytra. I’ve added mods like Sodium, Lithium, Moonrise and FerriteCore to boost your game’s performance. These mods optimize rendering, reduce memory usage, and ensure your game runs smoothly, even on less powerful systems. It should optimise your performance so much that you could have double the FPS you'd have in Vanilla.

2. Visual Enhancements Without Overloading Your System

Minecraft can look stunning without losing its blocky charm. Iris adds shader support, while LambDynamicLights lets you carry light sources in hand. Falling Leaves and Visuality create a more immersive environment, with particles and subtle animations that bring the world to life. It’s the same Minecraft you love, but more vibrant and alive. I tried to recreate OptiFine's Features, while improving the performance even further.

3. UI and HUD Improvements

No need to clutter your screen with too much information, but sometimes a bit of extra detail helps. AppleSkin shows you hunger and saturation levels, Held Item Info shows you the Enchantments of your Items when held in hand, without having to open the Inventory, while BetterF3 provides a cleaner, more detailed, completely customisable debug screen. You’ll have all the information you need at your fingertips without sacrificing the minimalist feel.

4. Immersive Audio for a Better Atmosphere

Minecraft’s soundscape is already iconic, but why stop there? AmbientSounds adds subtle background noises like chirping birds, flowing water, or wind rustling through the trees. Presence Footsteps makes every step sound unique, whether you’re walking on stone, grass, or sand. Together, they create an audio environment that pulls you deeper into the game.

5. Versatile Gameplay for Every Playstyle

Whether you’re a first-person purist or someone who likes to switch to third-person for building and combat, this modpack has you covered. The First-Person Model mod lets you see your body and arms when you look down in first person as they appear in third-person, while Better Third Person improves the camera and controls for smooth transitions and walking in a different direction from where you're walking.

6. Compat & Support

Gaming is all about freedom, and I’ve made sure this pack works flawlessly on all hardware. No matter how you prefer to play—on your PC with a keyboard, relaxing on the couch with a controller, or on the go with a hanheld like the Valve Steam Deck or the ASUS ROG Ally; you’ll get a seamless experience.

Who This Modpack Is For:

This modpack is perfect for anyone who wants to stick close to the vanilla feel while enjoying modern improvements. It’s lightweight, intuitive, and works great whether you’re a seasoned player or new to Minecraft.

  • Try it out and experience a better, smoother, and more immersive Minecraft. Trust me, once you play with this modpack, you won’t want to go back! Have fun <3
