About this Modpack

🌿 Core Trails

The essence of Hidden Trails - distilled into a lightweight, challenging experience.

Core Trails is a survival-focused modpack that includes our custom-made mods alongside performance, visual, and shader upgrades. It strips Minecraft down to its toughest and most rewarding essentials, while keeping the game optimized and beautiful.

Below you’ll find the core mods that shape the gameplay:

⚔️ DurabilityRarity

Not all gear is created equal. Every crafted, looted, or rewarded item receives a random rarity tier that affects its durability, from brittle junk to legendary tools. Adds variety, challenge, and excitement to every piece of gear you find.

⛏️ ReducedOres

Ores are no longer everywhere. This mod reduces ore generation significantly, making mining and exploration more rewarding. Every diamond, iron vein, or gold ore you uncover feels like a true discovery.

📦 ReducedLoot

Loot in naturally generated chests is less frequent and less abundant. Structures remain exciting to explore, but you’ll need to rely on your survival skills instead of overflowing treasure rooms.

❌ MendingRemover

The powerful Mending enchantment is completely removed. Tools and armor are now finite resources, forcing players to think carefully about gear rarity, durability, and crafting.

💀 Death’sCut

Every death has a cost. This mod introduces configurable penalties when you die, from losing items to trimming your experience or health. It adds a meaningful risk to exploration and combat, making every choice in survival count.

🧱 Builder’sTrowels

A builder’s best companion. Craft different trowels that automatically pick random blocks from your hotbar for rapid and creative building. Higher-tier trowels place blocks faster and can even ignore blacklisted materials for more control.

🟦 DynamicBorder

The world no longer stays still. DynamicBorders adds a customizable, ever-shifting world border that can grow or shrink, based on your settings. Whether you want a steadily expanding world that rewards exploration or a tightening squeeze that challenges survival, this mod keeps the environment evolving around you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Core Trails (DISCONTINUED) server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong neoforge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Core Trails (DISCONTINUED) server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Core Trails (DISCONTINUED) without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (neoforge) and same Minecraft version (1.21.10). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Core Trails (DISCONTINUED) server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
