About this Modpack

Decided to throw this pack up here on Modrinth to make it easier for people to download when I update the pack.

A few things to note:

The pack has Simple Voice Chat installed meaning there's a proximity chat in game. Kolbi and I have messed around with it a bit and it seems to also work with the Sound Physics mod, which is great fun.
Create is (obviously) a big focus of the pack, so there are quite a few addon mods installed. The main ones being:
- Create: New Age which adds power generation and other exciting stuff.
- Create Deco which as the name implies, adds a lot of decoration based blocks that works with Create.
- Create: Steam 'n' Rails which expands on the railway system in the base mod, adding different wood variants to the rails and also wider tracks.
- Create Slice & Dice which adds a lot of ways to automate different farms and food production. Also has integration with Farmers' Delight!

How to Set Up a Created Mess Server

Order Server

Choose at least 6 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for Created Mess). Based on player count: per 5 players.

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "Created Mess" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.20.1 are configured automatically.

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

Frequently Asked Questions

Created Mess server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Created Mess server really need?

Can I add custom mods to Created Mess without conflicts?

Created Mess server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time.
