Overview

French Vanilla is a vanilla-friendly modpack which aims to get the best performance possible while adding a bit of variety to your world.

Variety

Included is a handful of resourcepacks and mods which together add hundreds of new structures and structure variations for you to discover covering all 3 dimension - overworld, nether and the end. All of the structures use vanilla blocks and items with no modded blocks or items being added to the game.

Performance

All the mods which have become a staple of performance in the modding community are present including the likes of Sodium and Ferrite Core along with just about every other compatible performance mod spanning networking, rendering, and memory optimization.

QOL

Minecraft can be click intensive and monotonous at times. This modpack aims to improve your experience by respecting your time in the form of mods like Tree Harvester and Vein Miner two very simple mods which alone will save you hours of gameplay staring at your screen. Many other smaller tweaks are included such as Crafting Tweaks, Inventory Sorting and Journey Map.

How to Set Up a French Vanilla Server

Order Server

Choose at least 6 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for French Vanilla). Based on player count: per 5 players.

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "French Vanilla" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.21.4 are configured automatically.

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

French Vanilla server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match.
