Notes

This modpack was put together to play around with Wisp Forest's Affinity. It is meant to be played in Multiplayer as a Vanilla+ game.
You will find some astonishing visual mods here: Particular and Ambiance! do a great job at bringing life to the world. Spyglass Astronomy and TimeCycle help setting the stage for short and intimidating daylight, while Sound Physics and Presence Footsteps help deliver the final experience.
And of course WorldHost and Simple Voice Chat enable this pack to be played with friends without hustle.

How to Set Up a Darkest Days Server

Order Server

Choose at least 6 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for Darkest Days). Based on player count: per 5 players.

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "Darkest Days" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.21.1 are configured automatically.

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

Darkest Days server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. How much RAM does a Darkest Days server really need?
