DarkFantasyMC

DarkFantasyMC

A world bled dry of mercy. The sun hangs like a dying ember. The wilds snarl with new hunger. Every horizon promises ruin, and every shadow has learned to bite.

About this Modpack

Ruins of a Blackened Age — New Structures
Jagged spires and crumbling citadels now pierce the horizon like the ribs of a dead god. Every new structure tells a silent, terrible story:

Blighted watchtowers lean against the wind, their iron cages still holding the bones of things that refused to die.

Forsaken cathedrals hum with a low, resonant chant. The stained glass is shattered, but something inside is still praying — and it expects you to kneel.

Deep in the wastes, ashen strongholds guard the embers of a flame that should never be rekindled.

These aren’t just ruins to loot. They are warnings carved in stone, and the warning is simple: turn back.

The Depths Have Grown Teeth — Overhauled Dungeons
The dungeons have evolved into sprawling, labyrinthine nightmares. Torchlight gutters and dies too quickly down here. The walls sweat. The floors are thick with the scent of old iron and rot. New traps, grim puzzles, and lairing beasts await — and the deeper you crawl, the more the architecture itself seems to resent your presence. Spawners are guarded by malice, not just mobs. The treasure is better, but the dark is so much deeper.

Steel Sings, Bones Crumble — The Punchy Mod
Combat is no longer a matter of frantic clicking. With Punchy, every blow reverberates with brutal, bone-deep impact. Axes cleave with a sickening crunch. Swords send foes staggering backwards into the mud. Maces hammer through armor with a sound like a splitting tree. Fights are weightier, meaner, and far more personal — a grim, close-quarters dance where distance is death and every missed swing could be your last. You feel the weight of the weapon in your hands, and you feel it in your gut when you’re hit.

Where the Land Refuses to Heal — New Biomes
Step beyond the familiar, and the world shifts into something beautifully damned:

Bleached Thickets — forests of bone-white trees, their leaves like hanging parchment. The silence here is absolute, broken only by the creak of branches that turn to follow you.

Mire of Sighs — a vast, sucking bog where ghost-lights flicker in the mist. The mud bubbles with escaping gas, and the bodies beneath the peat are not quite dead.

Cinder Steppe — a charred plain of volcanic glass and perpetual twilight, where embers rise from fissures in the ground like fireflies born of pain.

Every biome is a character in its own right — brooding, hostile, and tragically beautiful.

This is not a realm of heroes. Steel yourself. The night does not simply fall here — it hunts.

Frequently Asked Questions

DarkFantasyMC server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a DarkFantasyMC server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to DarkFantasyMC without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (forge) and same Minecraft version (1.20.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

DarkFantasyMC server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
