Welcome to Dimensional Researchers II, a WORK-IN-PROGRESS modpack that’s all about exploring dangerous dimensions and documenting your findings. With 180+ Mods, this modpack offers a unique, horror-themed experience designed to keep players on their toes.

[Please note that this modpack is currently VERY unstable and may experience unexpected and unexplainable crashes or lags!!]

The modpack revolves around exploring these dimensions and documenting your findings via Questing or Patchouli (not fully implemented in 0.4.7). Modpack's theme aims to scare the player, either through the unknown nature of the dimensions you may end up in or the entities that inhabit the overworld...

Adventures in Time - Adds an expensive dimensional-ship (TARDIS) that can travel between any dimensions if maintained properly.
Create - Adds helpful machinery allowing for automation certain processes.
Exposure - Adds a Photo Camera that can capture any of your findings!
Fabric Waystones - A costful way of Fast-Travel between distances and dimensions.
Tempad - Adds an expensive tool allows you to travel between any previous set locations or discovered waystones.

The Performance Issue

Once again this modpack is VERY unstable. i have no idea how to make a modpack more stable except for downloading performance mods... if you know how and are willing to help Dimensional Researchers II to become a more stable modpack! DM me on discord tacticalistic

How to Set Up a Dimensional Researchers 2 Server

Order Server

Choose at least 6 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for Dimensional Researchers 2). Based on player count: per 5 players.

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "Dimensional Researchers 2" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.20.1 are configured automatically.

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

Frequently Asked Questions

Dimensional Researchers 2 server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Dimensional Researchers 2 server really need?
