About this Modpack

🌿 MineWorks: EcoCraft - Server Edition

A lightweight, server-focused version of EcoCraft designed for dedicated hosts.

📌 Note: This pack is not intended for singleplayer use - it’s a server-only version of EcoCraft. Players should install either the EcoCraft or EcoCraft LITE client packs to connect.

MineWorks: EcoCraft - Server Edition contains only the essential gameplay and backend mods required to run an EcoCraft server. All client-side mods (graphics, shaders, sounds, UI polish, and visual details) have been removed to ensure:

  • Lower resource usage
  • 🖥️ Faster server setup
  • 🔧 Simpler management and stability

This makes it the ideal base for hosting a dedicated server for either the Full EcoCraft or EcoCraft Lite clients.

🔑 What’s Included

  • ✅ All core gameplay mods: Origins, RPG Series, LevelZ, JobsAddon
  • ✅ Worldgen & structure mods: Terralith, Tectonic, Better Nether, Better End, YUNG’s Structures
  • ✅ Progression & mechanics: Serene Seasons, Early-Stage, TLOTD, Archaeology, Fishing Mini-game
  • ✅ Automation & logistics: Create, Tom’s Simple Storage
  • ✅ Multiplayer tools: Simple Voice Chat backend, PartyAddon
  • ✅ Optimization & server stability mods

❌ What’s Removed

  • 🚫 Shaders & visual enhancements
  • 🚫 Ambient sound & reverb mods
  • 🚫 Cosmetic/immersion-only UI & detail tweaks

These aren’t required for gameplay and only consume CPU/RAM on servers.

🌍 100% Compatible

  • Works seamlessly with EcoCraft Full and EcoCraft Lite clients.
  • Players can connect without any issues — all client features remain intact.
  • Server admins save resources, while players still enjoy the full experience.

🗺️ 🧭 RECOMMENDED GAME START SETTINGS

For the best multiplayer experience and early gameplay balance, I recommend modifying Minecraft’s world border behaviour:

1️⃣ Set a starting spawn barrier

  • Open your world with OP on server).

  • Use the command:

    /worldborder set 250
    /worldborder center ~ ~

→ This will create a 250-block radius barrier around spawn.

2️⃣ Configure Diamond World Border

  • Start the server with the mods

  • Open server's files

  • Search for config

  • Click diamond_worldborder.json

  • Change the setting to:

    "widthPerDiamond": 50.0,

(This means the border will expand 50 blocks in radius for every diamond dropped at it! You may increase as you wish, 50 is just a recommendation)

→ This ensures your party must progress through mining and teamwork to expand their world safely.

  • Restart the server!

🗺️ Recommended Setup

  • 🖥️ Host on a dedicated machine with at least 6–8 GB RAM (10 GB+ for larger player counts).
  • ⚙️ Use Diamond World Border settings for controlled world expansion.
  • 🔧 Adjust configs as needed for party size and progression pacing.

🔧 Ideal For

  • Server admins who want a minimal, efficient server pack
  • Communities planning long-term EcoCraft worlds

Frequently Asked Questions

EcoCraft [SERVER-SIDE VERSION] server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a EcoCraft [SERVER-SIDE VERSION] server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to EcoCraft [SERVER-SIDE VERSION] without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.20.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

EcoCraft [SERVER-SIDE VERSION] server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
