About this Modpack

What is Ectomizer?

Ectomizer is a modpack that does exactly what it promises: significantly increasing your FPS for a better gaming experience in this Cube World.

Why should I use Ectomizer and not another optimization modpack?

The answer is clear and concise: you should use this modpack because currently (at least for me) it's the one that has given me the most FPS to date.

Will Ectomizer be for Fabric or Forge? Will it be limited to 1.21.1?

I'm currently planning to add support for Fabric and Forge, although Forge will likely be in the distant future, as this API, for my part, seems the most difficult to work with. As for the version, yes, I will continue to update this modpack.

Where did the idea for Ectomizer come from? Why did you create an Optimization modpack?

The truth is, the reason I created Ectomizer is simply the need to get good FPS because I have a low-end PC, and seeing as how this one gave me excellent performance, I'd like to share this modpack with you. So that those with worse PCs can enjoy a better experience.

Can I use my Fabric mods in this modpack?

As incredible as it sounds, yes, you can. Well, there are some Fabric mods that won't run correctly or won't run at all, but that only happens with a few mods from that API. However, if any of the mods you add to the modpack (that's a Fabric mod) doesn't work, please don't report the bug here. Currently only available in version 1.21.1

If I find a bug, where can I report it so it can be fixed in future updates?

For now, I'll leave the Discord on my YouTube channel so anyone who has issues with the modpack can go there and report bugs so they can be fixed later.

QUESTIONS About This Development

Q: Will the Modpack stay at 1.21.1 or will it be updated to new versions so we can enjoy it?

A: Yes, it will be updated, but everything will happen in due time. I have things to do, so it will probably take a few days.

Q: Will I be rewarded for finding bugs in the Modpack?

A: No. Just as I don't ask for any donations, as I said before, anyone who wants to contribute by reporting bugs is greatly appreciated. ❤

Q: Do you plan to add new things to the modpack over time?

A: Yes, I'm sure useful things will be added as time goes on. I'll also add things that you ask for, but _be careful! they should be logical and not ruin anyone's multiplayer experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ectomizer server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong neoforge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Ectomizer server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Ectomizer without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (neoforge) and same Minecraft version (1.21.10). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Ectomizer server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
