About this Modpack
encrypted group
A private kitchen sink pack designed for playing with friends on multiplayer servers.
This pack attempts to balance performance with content, allowing a wide range of computers to enjoy the pack. It's also designed to work exclusively with a server, with many mods marked to be installed only on either side. As such, you'll be missing many gameplay features by playing singleplayer!
The current mod set doesn't have a gimmick! It's a ton of mods, with a ton of stuff to do, and more to come. Ideally, it all works together smoothly as well.
It's also been a priority to keep performance in check. Every mod has been chosen and configured to minimize impact on the client. Of course, this is still a content-focused mod pack, meaning performance will still take a hit in busy areas.
Why?
The idea behind this pack is to create an "eternal server". One that will always exist, despite periods with little to no activity. When the community wants to play Minecraft again, we add a content mod that we can refocus on! Since we've been adding content mods for months now, this wouldn't apply too well to new users of the pack. As such, I don't recommend using this pack unless you're part of the community it's made for.
When players have reached "end-game", and have little motivation to continue playing on the server, the eternity ends, and a reset is made. These resets are typically completely different from the last iteration. Resets, or "seasons," signify the pack's major version number. (v1, v2, etc.)
I've developed other mod packs that are targeted towards general use, so anyone can get started at any time. These can be found on my Modrinth profile.
Credits
Some third-party projects are packaged within the mod pack file. The credits for these projects can be found in the credits.md file. This file is included in the pack's export as well!

Frequently Asked Questions
encrypted group server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a encrypted group server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).
Can I add custom mods to encrypted group without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
encrypted group server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
