About this Modpack
Exploration Innovation is a modpack focused on, wouldn't you guess it, exploration.

When you first create a world, you'll need to choose an origin. This choice may affect your playthrough drastically, slightly, or not at all depending on your preference. Choose wisely!
After this, you'll have the opportunity to explore your world and find a variety of new structures. Deliberately, the choice has been made to exclude the most popular structure mods such as the YUNGs series of structures. This is because I see them in nearly every pack that I play and have gotten tired of them, I can't imagine I'm the only one to feel this way! They're great structures, but some variety is great to have too!

There are also a tasteful, small amount of new biomes included in the pack. Enough that you'll certainly encounter them, but not so much that they drown out the vanilla biomes you know and love.

Here's a list of some changes that will make exploring your world feel much more fun than it is in vanilla:
- Dozens of new structures and biomes for you to find.
- You can now create real, block built ships and airships using the Eureka mod.
- Minecarts can now be linked together with chains
- Minecarts now go much faster when their rails are on top of Gravel Blocks.
- Minecart Rails are now also craftable with Copper Ingots.
- Horses are faster than their vanilla counterparts.
- Horses can now equip Horseshoes, which improve speed and are enchantable.
- Horse armor is now trimmable.
- Horses and their riders now walk through leaves.
- Horses can now swim with a rider.
- Sacks let you carry more items in the early game similarly to Shulker Boxes.
- Elytra can now roll like a plane can (toggleable).
- The ocean is much more populated than before.
- Expanded archaeology and rewards for persuing it.
- Craftable Atlases to create a finite, tangible mini-map.
- Expanded combat with the Better Combat mod to make fighting through structures more fun.
- A set of balanced new craftale weapons to add variety to combat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Exploration Innovation server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Exploration Innovation server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).
Can I add custom mods to Exploration Innovation without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.20.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
Exploration Innovation server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
