About this Modpack

Fishbattery FPS Optimizer

A lightweight Minecraft modpack focused on maximizing FPS and improving overall performance while keeping the vanilla gameplay experience intact.

This pack bundles well-known performance mods that improve rendering, memory usage, and game loading times. It is designed to run smoothly on both low-end and high-end systems while remaining stable across major Minecraft versions.

The modpack is maintained as the performance preset used in the Fishbattery Launcher. Updates to this pack ensure the preset stays compatible with newer Minecraft versions and performance mod updates.

Features

  • Improved FPS and frame stability
  • Faster world loading and reduced stuttering
  • Optimized rendering pipeline
  • Minimal gameplay changes (vanilla-friendly)
  • Maintained for compatibility with major Minecraft versions

Intended Use

This pack can be installed like any normal modpack, but it is primarily maintained to power the FPS preset inside the Fishbattery Launcher, making it easy for users to keep their performance setup updated automatically.

Shader Support (Minecraft 1.12.2 and older)

Due to licensing restrictions, OptiFine cannot be distributed through Modrinth or included directly in this pack.

If you are using Minecraft 1.12.2 or older and want to use shaders, you will need to install OptiFine manually:

  1. Download OptiFine from https://optifine.net/downloads
  2. Place the OptiFine .jar file into the mods folder of your instance
  3. Launch the game and enable shaders in the video settings

For newer Minecraft versions, shader support is handled automatically through supported mods.

Notes

Mods included in this pack remain the property of their respective authors. This pack simply bundles them for performance optimization and easier maintenance.

Forge 1.21.11 does NOT have any sodium or iris forks as of the latest release, so don't expect huge improvements on that version.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fishbattery FPS server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong neoforge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Fishbattery FPS server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Fishbattery FPS without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (neoforge) and same Minecraft version (1.21.11). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Fishbattery FPS server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
