About this Modpack

A Warm Welcome to the Land of Clowns and Fools, Jestercraft:

Jestercraft is an amalgamation made from equal parts Exploration, Technology, RPG Progression, and Love, it features plenty of passive and active progression routes which provide a sense of accomplishment to players of any style, from PvP to Mapmaking, Automation to Fishing, Minmaxing to Chillmaxing. Jestercraft isn't just a modpack with a vague clown theme, it's a place to reignite the spark of early Minecraft, a sense that you don't really know what comes next, an understanding that you just need to work through the motions and explore, try things out and discover, play with friends and show off all the amazing things you find and build together. Jestercraft is a modpack with nuance which should be learned at your own pace, don't be afraid to make mistakes, don't be afraid to reach out for help, but don't feel the need to sift through countless wiki pages in an attempt to do something you may not even enjoy. Allow the game to guide you and your sense of wonder to fuel you, overcome the challenges of the depths, traverse the beautiful sky islands, industrialize the land you conquor, and have fun enjoying even the smallest of features, enjoy the simple things and the fact that every part of minecraft has been expanded upon with just as much care as any other.

Where do I start?

Although Jestercraft is designed with blind exploration in mind, I understand that not everyone has that type of time, the best way to quickly get help with Jestercraft progression is to join the JWMA Discord Community and Ask Questions. The folks from the Jester Weapon Meister Academy are why I started making Jestercraft, it is their taste, their wishes, and their wonder, which fueled this modpack so there is no better place to be than within that community. (I would also say the Adventurer is the easiest starter kit so probably start with that, right click your Glider and take the plunge, don't worry about reaching the void, it will just spit you right back out at the top of the world. Explore until you want to settle down, then build, find stuff that interests you in the EMI menu and use right-click & left-click to navigate the crafting recipes to learn about what you need to make progress. Fishing is always an option and if you ever get really lost, just try beating the game as you would in Vanilla)

A nice classical feeling space you could settle down in

A Special Thank You:

Frequently Asked Questions

Jestercraft server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Jestercraft server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Jestercraft without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Jestercraft server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
