About this Modpack

This is a modpack which aims to bring some small QoL changes to the game, with mostly visual and performance changes.

Built with a well rounded experience in mind, it aims to bring performance increases for the more technically orientated or frame conscious players through mods such as sodium and lithium. Yet at the same time, multiple smaller visual mods have been added, such as iris to support shaders, and a saturation slider to completely customise the look of the game to your preferences, along with the EMF and ETF mods to enhance your resource pack experience, supporting custom models and animated textures. And finally there are a few tool mods included to make gameplay easier, such as litematica to help with building farms, and minihud to act as a mini F3 screen.

Overall this modpack is meant to provide a close to vanilla experience but with a few small changes, which work together to create a more pleasant experience while playing. While suited to a wide range of play styles, this pack was specifically made for the Larkspur server, so if you have any questions feel free to ask them in this discord.

(As this is designed for a specific server originally, the villager pickup mod was included. For fully vanilla mechanics remove this mod)

Full modlist (This is only accurate for the latest version. Older versions of the modpack may not have some of these mods or may have some extra ones. For a list for a specific version of the modpack look on the page for that version.)

Frequently Asked Questions

Larkspur Modpack server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Larkspur Modpack server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Larkspur Modpack without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.10). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Larkspur Modpack server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
