About this Modpack

Levviata's Optimization Pack

NOTE:

When you first run the modpack, your game WILL crash; this is expected, however.

Reboot your game and you will be totally fine.

(issue on GitHub + reason why this unavoidably happens).

To download Vintagium latest release,
please join Cleanroom's Discord server
and check the # 🌟 information channel,
you will see the latest release there.

OPTIFINE IS NOT SUPPORTED

(see more on "Known Issues / Known Incompatibilities" section)

A Forge/Cleanroom (Cleanroom support is planned) modpack
that uses the latest optimization mods for Minecraft 1.12.2 while adding no other gameplay,
QoL, etc. features.

Intended to use in new singleplayer playthroughs as a standalone,
but I will eventually release server-only instances and instructions for integration in existing modpacks.

(there is not enough testing,
but please try it
and open an issue in the tracker
if you have any problem.)

(the modpack name on the web (modrinth, CurseForge, and GitHub) is "Levviata's Optimization Pack" for visibility,
the pack is named "Optimum" internally)

External Mods / Bundled Mods

This modpack uses File Director to download these mods from CurseForge:

("File Director" is a Minecraft Forge mod
that allows you to download and manage mods in modpacks)

These mods were redistributed/bundled with the modpack for convenience (see "Credits / Copyright Notice" section for more information):

Frequently Asked Questions

Levviata's Optimization Pack server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Levviata's Optimization Pack server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Levviata's Optimization Pack without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (forge) and same Minecraft version (1.12.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Levviata's Optimization Pack server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
