About this Modpack

A modpack to simulate the lifesteal experience

Use the lifesteal mod to manage the heart system and revive ability

Have Simple Voice Chat to make everything more immersive

And make your server like you're playing on the real ONE!

Setting up the modpack

Everything is happening in the config folder. The lifesteal-common.toml file contains the lifesteal config. The basic things you can configure are:

  • Starting Hearts
  • How many hearts do you lose on death, or how many do you get on a kill
  • If you drop a revive head on complete elimination
  • The Complete Dead people if they get banned or are in spectator mode
  • How many seconds to auto-revive
  • When to lose hearts (By Mobs, Environment, or people)

To set up Simple Voice Chat, go to the config file and change the port to the one your server has

Please keep in mind that I won't provide any help on configuration, and you can check the mod here: https://modrinth.com/mod/lifesteal-mian or for the Voice Chat here: https://modrinth.com/plugin/simple-voice-chat

And now you are done configuring the basics!

Frequently Asked Questions

Lifesteal Experience server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Lifesteal Experience server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Lifesteal Experience without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (26.1.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Lifesteal Experience server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
