About this Modpack

Lord of the Craft Utils

About

Lord of the Crafts Utils aims to become a simple standard use modpack for the Lord of the Craft Minecraft server. Mainly aiming for optimization whilst allowing you to make your game visually stunning and just all around easy to use. Some mods like Xaero’s MiniMap and World map are included with their fair-play edition to be compliant with LOTC guide lines. Along with such, some quality of life mods are included such as Mouse tweaks, WorldEdit, Axiom, ItemLocks, RePlay mod,and ViaFabric. This pack was originally meant for 1.18.2 but as of recent the server has shifted to 1.20.6 and as of such a result some mods will not be available currently, such as Figura or EmoteCraft. I do plan on updating and maintaining this pack for as long as I play LOTC and or feel like doing so.

List of Mods and their Implementation Status

Mods that are currently added within the modlist and or awaiting an update/fork.

Along with such, I do plan on creating a github tracker for this pack in the future, if you do encounter a horrendous bug or issue with the pack that you cannot genuinely solve with a simple google search or youtube tutorial, you may contact me on Discord at TheShinyHodzic.

Note: Do not report any bugs with the modpack to individual mod creators, and along with that I am not responsible for any bans / reports towards any individual who uses the pack even though such is compliant with Lord of the Craft TOS. If any modifications are made to the pack that are not offically from this page are null and void in any complaint / report.

Simple Fixes

Things such as transfering a Xaeros Map Folder to another or addeding resource packs can be difficult thing for some people. So simple little guides will be included within drop downs.

Map Transfer from another Modpack to a new Modpack (Xaeros Mini & World Map by thexaero)
  1. Launch the instance of Minecraft that contains the Map Save that you wish to transfer
  2. Next to access the folder you will be looking for, you must Options then Resource Packs which will then open your prefered file manager.
  3. Then at the top of your file manager their should be a bar that indicates your current directory path, proceed to move out of your current folder by changing the path
(Examples: Drive:"Where ever your minecraft instance is located"\profiles"Pack Name"\resourcepacks ---Drive:"Where ever your minecraft instance is located"\profiles"Pack Name")
  4. Next you would locate corsponding Xaeros folders which should be named XaeroWaypoints, XaeroWaypoints_BACKUP, XaeroWorldMap
  5. Next you will repeat the steps 1-3 on the Lord of the Craft Utils pack to find its directory
  6. If you have not Joined a world yet then no files corresponding to Xaeros on the Lord of the Craft Utils pack will be generated yet
  7. Now is just copy and paste the 3 previously mentioned files into this directory
  8. Lastly all you have to do is join the server you have previously had a map save off, open the world map with the default bind of M and swap your map until it has selected the correct one before clicking connect or set default
Adding resource packs and or Shaders via the Built in Installer (Resourcify by DeDiamondPro)
  1. Launch your game before locating the Options Button in game and navigating to the Resource packs Button
  2. At the top right their should be 2 buttons, the Plus button will allow you to browse a catalog of resource packs that you can quickly install and use
  3. These Same steps apply to adding shader packs via the Video Settings Button then navigating to the Shader Packs Button at the top right instead of the Resource packs Button

NOTE: Some packs will not show as they might be incompatible with the current version of the game that you are using.

Addings skins to the built in Skin Swapper (Skin Shuffle by IMB11)
  1. Once you launch the game, you will see the default main menu screen along with a paper doll of your current skin and a button called Skin Presets
  2. Once you have clicked on it you will see a selection screen that includes your default skin. Clicking on the arrow to the right that directs you to the new preset option, you would then click Create
  3. Next you would click the edit button underneath the new preset that you have created. Now you have a few options to upload the skin, You could either use apply the skin through the minecraft launcher then selecting the Username Source and changing the model type in order to upload it. Another option is using a URL scheme with HTTPS or HTTP. And the last but my most favorite is the File Option, by using it you will be providing a path to the skin file, something similar to this (Examples: Drive:/Skin Folder/Sir Horen.png. If you do choose to use this method, it must be in the .png format in order to work

NOTE: Everytime you change your skin in-game, it will prompt you to reconnect. You must reconnect in order for other players to see your skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lord of the Craft Utils server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Lord of the Craft Utils server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Lord of the Craft Utils without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Lord of the Craft Utils server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
