About this Modpack

Lumora

Lumora is a visual Minecraft modpack built for players who want the game to feel smoother, cleaner and more atmospheric without turning it into something unrecognisable.

The pack keeps the vanilla foundation intact, then improves the experience through shaders, distant terrain, better lighting, refined particles, ambient sound, improved animations, cleaner interface details and a modern Fabric performance stack.

It is not a content expansion pack. It does not try to replace Minecraft with a different game. Lumora is about making the world feel more polished from the first launch.

What Lumora is made for

Lumora is focused on visual atmosphere, smooth exploration and small details that make normal gameplay feel better.

Worlds feel deeper through improved lighting, clouds, fog, water, particles and distant terrain. Movement and gameplay stay familiar, but the presentation is cleaner and more immersive.

The goal is simple: better visuals, fewer rough edges and a more complete feeling Minecraft experience.

Visual experience

Lumora uses a shader based visual setup tuned around a warm, atmospheric and vanilla friendly style.

Lighting is softer, skies feel more alive, water looks cleaner, fog gives the world more depth and distant terrain helps exploration feel larger without forcing a massive vanilla render distance.

The pack also includes selected resource packs, animations and visual effects that add polish without overwhelming the original art direction.

Performance and stability

Lumora includes a modern Fabric performance setup to help with FPS, stutter, memory usage, rendering efficiency and chunk handling.

It includes well known optimization mods such as Sodium, Lithium, ModernFix, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, EntityCulling, More Culling and other client focused improvements.

The pack is still visual first, so it is not meant to be an ultra light FPS pack. It is designed to look good while staying smoother and more stable than a heavy visual setup normally would.

Included experience

Lumora comes prepared with shaders enabled, Voxy enabled, selected resource packs, adjusted graphics options, cleaner keybinds, balanced particles, improved ambience and quality of life features ready from the first launch.

You should be able to install the pack, open the game and start playing without spending time fixing basic settings.

Main features

Shaders and atmosphere

Lumora uses a Complementary based shader setup prepared for a polished visual experience. The look is tuned to feel cinematic without losing the Minecraft identity.

Distant terrain

Voxy is included to improve long distance terrain presentation and make the world feel larger while keeping normal render distance controlled.

Smooth rendering

The pack includes Sodium and other rendering improvements to help reduce stutter, improve frame stability and make gameplay feel more responsive.

Better ambience

Sounds, footsteps, environmental effects, particles, leaves, bubbles and subtle details are improved to make the world feel more alive.

Cleaner visuals

Animations, entity visuals, tooltips, GUI details and selected resource packs help the game feel more refined without changing the core style too much.

Useful client tools

Lumora includes map tools, better tooltips, inventory improvements, visual feedback and small quality of life features that make normal gameplay more comfortable.

Recommended hardware

Lumora is designed for systems that can handle a visual Minecraft setup.

A dedicated GPU is recommended. If performance is low, reduce shader settings first before disabling the visual stack entirely. The pack is optimized, but shaders, distant terrain, ambience and visual effects still need decent hardware.

Notes

Lumora is built for Minecraft 26.1.2 on Fabric.

It is intended as a client side visual and quality of life modpack.

Mods, resource packs and shaders included in Lumora belong to their respective authors. Lumora only brings them together with its own configuration choices, presentation and visual direction.

The pack is still in beta, so small changes may happen as mods update and compatibility improves.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lumora server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Lumora server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Lumora without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (26.1.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Lumora server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
