About this Modpack

Honestly... like

Are you tired of installing resource packs and mods just to combine into a single VR?

That modpack fixes all of this!

While it has a few mods and resource packs, it may enhance your gameplay a bit.

How can I install it?

It's not a .zip file since it's a Modrinth Modpack (.mrpack). What you instead do is:

  1. Install the official Modrinth app
  2. Go and search for the Modpack (MC VR)
  3. Click "Install" on the Modpack or whatever the install button says
  4. Once you're done, Modrinth will automatically launch Minecraft once you launch it.

What does it add?

bruh that thing is gonna be HUGE.

it supports these mods/resource packs (also has datapacks):

  1. Dynamic Lights
    • Type: Datapack
  2. Glowing Ores
    • Type: Resource Pack
  3. Vivecraft
    • Type: Mod
    • Also, this is required for the VR since you need Vivecraft to able to display the screen to your VR!
    • Installation after that section.
  4. Fabric API & Quilted Fabric API
    • Type: Libraries
    • These are required for a lot of Mods
  5. VR Craft
    • Type: Resource Pack
    • This changes the game to look like Reality (because VR is like Augmented Reality but inside a game)
  6. Bare Bones
    • Type: Resource Pack

End.

What is the installation for Vivecraft?

It's already implemented in the Modpack!

But it gives errors, why?

Because you need SteamVR installed on your Computer. Like seriously how can you forget this?

How to install SteamVR?

It's very simple

  1. Go to Steam (sign in if required)
  2. Search for SteamVR
  3. It should pop-up
  4. Hit the Install button on it or whatever it says

But it keeps giving me errors bruh

That's because you may have not turned on your VR Headset or not clicked the little Virtual Reality button on the top of Steam! There are 2 solutions to fix this:

For the VR Headset

  1. Connect to the WiFi on both Your Computer and The VR Headset
  2. Turn on the Headset if not
  3. Click the "VR: Off" button to enable the VR thing

For Steam

  1. Make sure you did the steps up
  2. Do NOT click the "VR: Off" button
  3. Go to Steam and click the little Virtual Reality button (usually glasses but looks like the ones when you swim) on the top or it's position
  4. Wait for it to connect if needed
  5. Go BACK to Minecraft and then click the "VR: Off" button

Once you're done, wear your VR headset and done!

Enjoy!

How to Set Up a MC VR Server

1

Order Server

Choose at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended for MC VR). Based on player count: per 8 players.

2

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "MC VR" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.21.11 are configured automatically.

3

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

Frequently Asked Questions

MC VR server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a MC VR server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to MC VR without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.11). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

MC VR server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
