About this Modpack

MC Xtended

MC Xtended is a Fabric modpack that preserves the vanilla Minecraft experience, while improving performance, fixing many bugs, and adding quality of life features.

It’s aimed at players who want a modernized vanilla experience — featuring better performance, smoother rendering, fewer stutters, and small UX improvements, all while maintaining the vanilla charm.

Highlights:

  • Performance first: modern Fabric optimizations for both client and server.
  • Vanilla parity: bugfixes and QoL that do not alter core mechanics.
  • One‑click server creation: open your singleplayer world to friends with one click using e4mc — it makes your LAN world public so friends can join easily. It also supports offline mode: disable online mode when opening to LAN if you need to play without online authentication.
  • Cosmetics: get a cape at MinecraftCapes and show it in‑game using the included cape support mod.
  • Optional server package: download a ready‑to‑use MCXtended_Server.zip containing a fabric server.jar, an optimized start.sh, and all server‑side mods for quick deployment. Download it from GitHub.

  • Core optimizations spotlight:
    • Sodium — massive FPS gains through rendering optimizations.
    • Lithium — faster tick calculations and mob AI improvements.
    • FerriteCore — reduced memory usage for chunk and block data.
    • ImmediatelyFast — snappier responsiveness and reduced stutter.
    • ThreadTweak — smarter JVM thread scheduling for smoother gameplay.
    • ScalableLux — optimized light engine for better performance.
    • ServerCore — server‑side toolkit for lag reduction, entity controls, and chunk ticking optimizations.
  • Smarter resource use: mods like Clumps, Dynamic FPS, and Entity Culling reduce idle resource usage, merge XP orbs, and skip rendering hidden entities — keeping gameplay smooth even on lower‑end systems.
  • Improved network stack: Krypton optimizes server networking for lower latency and smoother multiplayer performance.
  • Beginner‑friendly tools: mods like Jade, Xaero’s Minimap & World Map, REI, and Enchantment Descriptions make the game easier to learn by showing block info, guiding exploration, simplifying recipes, and explaining enchantments — perfect for new or inexperienced players.
  • Bugfixes included: long‑standing vanilla issues are patched with mods like Debugify and ModernFix, ensuring smoother gameplay.
  • Flexible visuals: built‑in shader support with Iris and curated packs like Complementary Reimagined or Vanilla Plus Shader let you enhance graphics without breaking vanilla style.
  • Lightweight customization: UI polish from BetterF3, Raised, Reese’s Sodium Options, and Better Ping Display makes menus cleaner and more informative without overwhelming players.

2

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "MC Xtended" and click "Install". The quilt loader and Minecraft 1.21.11 are configured automatically.

3

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

Frequently Asked Questions

MC Xtended server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong quilt loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a MC Xtended server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to MC Xtended without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (quilt) and same Minecraft version (1.21.11). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

MC Xtended server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
