About this Modpack

Minecards - Trading Card Game

A collect-em all style modpack for getting cards from card packs (Configurable Only needs to be done ONCE, they are required server and client side to at least be in the folder.) The pack also now requires the usage of File Director due to one mod not allowing usage over on Curseforge [NetherAPI] which is why it is now implemented as a component of the pack just hit download when the window pops up, its a simple api for nether and end biomes you can read up on it here

Main Info:

This is a modpack that adds biomes for exploration, elevators for easy movement, most important of all Mine Trading Cards which allows this modpack to exist in the first place by making the card-packs. Also adds Builders Wands, Builders Gadgets, Chisel, Tektopia For creativity. For your Storage Needs we have Iron Chests, Simple Storage, Stack-Up(Set to 128), Iron chests, possibly some others as well. Your tech mods in this pack are Simple Storage, Moving Elevators. Than for your experience there is Tektopia, Mine Trading Cards, Chisel and some other things. Also has some quests for getting cardpacks and quite a few more mods.

Currently includes: 12 optional Card-packs enable them in the resource-packs folder. More To come soon Send suggestions in the comments, or in the discord.

Things to note if you have 4.3.0+:

  • If mods asides File Director are still installed, uninstall all of those mods, also clear out the default resource packs.
  • Launch the game once to install the modpack, than launch it a second time to play it [And get the mods it missed the first time], You may need to do the first step more than once depending on Curseforge's api system.
  • If the game screams about missing things from Recurrent Complex, just press continue it shouldn't cause any issues, bu8t in the case it does keep a backup [Or reroll back to an FTB Backup]

Frequently Asked Questions

Minecards - Trading Card Game server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Minecards - Trading Card Game server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Minecards - Trading Card Game without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (forge) and same Minecraft version (1.12.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Minecards - Trading Card Game server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
