Several optimization or feature mods I've stumbled upon, all mopped up.

About this Modpack

Literally just my own preference of performance and feature mods. Formerly moptifine, for its since largely removed OptiFine parity.

I have been accumulating these mods for a decent while. You could say I've been mopping them up.

Featuring:

Client improvements

The common ones, plus Better Block Entities, BadOptimizations, Exordium, and more.

There's a mod, Ixeris, that's been observed to improve framerates by 10 times. It improves upon event polling. What the hell, man?

Integrated server improvements

Lithium* and FerriteCore, as well as C2ME*, Chunky*, ScalableLux, etc. They go well with e4mc* if you're not familiar with hosting dedicated servers.

*SP only

Far too many QOL mods

Too much to briefly list here, but there's mods that alter the inventory, HUD, chat, even error handling!

Features for days

Fancify your models! Fancify your textures! Take in the sights and sounds (and your friends' sounds), and immerse yourself in them in virtual reality!

To MP, or to SP

MP is best for multiplayer only. I personally never play solo (and when I do it's on a self-hosted server), so I trimmed the fat and removed every mod that was solely there to speed up the integrated server.

SP is for single- and multiplayer. Singleplayer is still a really big deal to most everyone, so why deny them those performance improvements? This version of the pack has the trimmings added back in.

DISCLAIMERS:

  • Included are only the mods, no mod configs. You'll have to tweak everything to your liking.
  • This pack is incredibly bloated, boasting 64 (or 73!) mods. Good luck tweaking everything to your liking.
  • Debugify's fix for MC-267376 causes VR mode to crash the game. Make sure to disable the former.
  • Enabling Exordium causes the HUD to vanish in VR mode. Just turn Exordium off before entering a world.
  • I cannot provide additional support. Surely you'll figure something out. Please do.

Props to the masses of Modrinth, as well as the people behind the Fabulously Optimized pack, and LambdAurora (maintainer of this fine list), for providing such bountiful resources to mop through.

How to Set Up a moptimized Server

1

Order Server

2

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "moptimized" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 26.1.2 are configured automatically.

Frequently Asked Questions

moptimized server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a moptimized server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to moptimized without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (26.1.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

moptimized server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
