About this Modpack

Better biomes, more life, no lag.
MOSTLY Vanilla is a 1.21.1 Fabric overhaul designed to make Minecraft feel like a modern sequel. It focuses on massive world exploration and deep visual polish while staying optimized enough to run on low-end hardware.
🌎 A Reimagined World
The overworld is transformed by realistic mountain ranges and grand landscapes. With overhauled Caves, Bridges, and End Islands, every landmark is worth exploring. Even the Nether and the End have been rebuilt to feel like entirely new dimensions.
🦊 Mobs That Feel Alive
Every creature now has fluid, expressive movement. We’ve also brought back "lost vote" mobs to fill out the world's ecosystems, making every forest and ocean feel diverse and complete.
🛠️ Immersive Details
It’s the small things that make a pack "perfected":
- Visuals: 3D rails, glowing ores, fancy crops, and better-looking lanterns.
- UI: A clean, dark-themed interface with integrated HUDs for your inventory and armor status.
- Audio: Realistic footsteps and ambient environment sounds for deep atmosphere.
⚙️ High-End Performance for Low-End PCs
Don't let the visuals fool you. MOSTLY Vanilla is built on an elite optimization stack. It’s specifically tuned to deliver high frame rates and fast loading times, even on older CPUs or systems with limited RAM.
⚔️ Enhanced Gameplay
Combat and exploration feel smoother with a better third-person camera, 3D armor trims, and visual enchantment outlines. Whether you are building a kingdom or hunting for the "True Ending," the game stays out of your way and lets you play.
🎮 Requirements & Recommendations
- Version: 1.21.1 (Fabric)
- RAM: 4GB Recommended.
- Shaders: Pre-loaded with high-performance options including Complementary Reimagined, Bliss, Nostalgia, and Super Duper Vanilla. Rethinking Voxels is included for high-end lighting.
📜 The Echo of the Forgotten
The world of MOSTLY Vanilla is a reclamation. Long ago, a massive medieval civilization peaked, leaving behind the Towns, Towers, and Bridges that now sit weathered by time. They sought the True Ending, but instead, the world fractured.
The land grew restless as Terralith and Tectonic forces warped the horizon, creating jagged peaks and deep, bioluminescent scars. Nature didn't just return; it evolved. The creatures you see—the "Lost Mobs"—are the survivors of this shift, moving with a fluid, uncanny grace as they watch from the shadows of Medieval Buildings. From the gothic decay of the Nether to the shattered memories of the End, the world is mostly familiar, but it hides an ancient hunger for a new legend to finish what the ancients started.

Frequently Asked Questions
Mostly.Vanilla server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Mostly.Vanilla server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).
Can I add custom mods to Mostly.Vanilla without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
Mostly.Vanilla server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
