About this Modpack

Steam Deck and Mobile Phone Support now available!!!

Notes:

The preset meant for Steam Deck is the "Low" preset
Mobile support is still in beta (since I dont know much about the java on mobile scene, and thus, dont know what the community prefences)
Mobile support is mainly meant for Zalith Launcher (Link for transparency: https://zalithlauncher.com). As in; the instance was only tested and created on zalith launcher, and the instructions only reference Zalith Launcher's UI.
Mobile support might work on other mobile launchers (i.e pojav launcher) but no garuntee, I am however open to working with people who know more about other mobile launchers
iPhone support will never happen (at least not by me, your free to see if it works and fix anything that breaks) since I don't really like apple, and I think I lost my iPhone 11 anyways

You ever feel like some modpacks dont feel vanilla enough? Well I did, so i created this!

Tired of "vanilla" (no offence) modpacks adding new blocks, mobs, items, (and more :P) that feels like it changes too much? this does do that! what it does add, are game mechanics, and revamped visuals and sounds!

Think of something (other than new blocks, items, and mobs), have you thought of it? well it has been updated; World gen, movement, controls, inventory, sound, graphics, EVERYTHING

now what does that entail? Welllll.....

Game mechanics!

Pretty much all of them come from other minecraft games to keep the vanilla feel (I didn't take any from legends since I have barely played it :/)

Examples? Sure!

Powerful mobs! (enchanted mobs in dungeons, mob captains here)
They are quite hard to beat, but the rewards are so worth it

Rolling!
(also in dungeons lol)
It's very useful when escaping monsters (especially with creepers :3)

New camera system!
The camera now tilts with movement (like Quake) and the third person camera now acts independently of your character! So you can finally stop staring at the back of your head :3

Scrollable offhand
and dedicated tool, elytra, and dynamic lighting slots, and inventory sorting! (so basically a mini inventory update :3)

Voice/Proximity Chat!
So you can now talk to your friends without needing something like discord ~~And also hit your (ex)freinds down a ravine and hear their scream fade~~

1000+ new advancements!
So you always have something to work to!

A world and mini map
(from the 3DS version of all places :P)
to mark your exporation progress and never get lost (you can even teleport to places if you have cheats on)

Flight controls for elytra!
Rolling, yawing, and pitching!

Proper VR support
(It was a bit weird on launch, sorry)

Visuals!

Not the vibrant kind, but close to it X3

**Fine tuned shaders**\ I tried my very best to make it look like vanilla, but with more graphical features! (shadows, reflections, light rays, etc)

Revamped textures!
None of the textures have been changed (execpt the confusing ones i.e enchanted books, potions, banner patterns, etc) nut they do have new features! Connectivity, PBR, vaired textures, eating animations, mob variants, 3d skins and armour, and a lot of gui and ui changes!

(I always disliked the vanilla ones :/)
The old ones really didn't have much character or detail (and also some ones ported from bedrock)

New visual indicators
like more detailed hearts and armour bar, and a fire hud that doesn't take up half the screen

514 defualt chunk render distance!
2 chunks actual render distance, and 512 LOD distant horizons render distance on low setting. I think that is how it works anyways

Wait, what about sounds?

Basically; new everything!

New block sounds

New item sounds

New ambient sounds

New sounds for a lot of items
(that can be played when selecting the item in the
inventory or hotbar

Chat pings
(like in discord)

And sound physics!

Overall, much more Immersive!

How to Set Up a New Vanilla Server

Order Server

Choose at least 6 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for New Vanilla). Based on player count: per 5 players.

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "New Vanilla" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.21.7 are configured automatically.

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

Frequently Asked Questions

New Vanilla server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a New Vanilla server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to New Vanilla without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.7). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time.
