what is ONWARD?

ONWARD is a survival RPG modpack currently in beta that focuses on adventure and keeping the core feel of Minecraft overall. this pack adds a variety of different mods and makes sure that there's always something for you to do and explore in the world!

what's so good about ONWARD?

packed with content!

ONWARD: Second Journey is filled to the brim with content that's bound to keep you entertained for a long while. whether that's exploring the world, fighting off hordes at night, there's always something for you here!

Essential mod support!

ONWARD is built with Essential Mod support in mind, allowing you to connect and play with your friends with ease. no need for a dedicated server, just log on and play!

utilises "Combat Test 8C" combat!

this modpack utilises the combat system in Mojang's Combat Test snapshots, which basically merges 1.8 and 1.9 pvp together. perfect for both 1.8 and 1.9+ players alike!

a unique shader!

ONWARD uses a modified version of Lethal Shaders with added shadows, godrays, reflections and more! all of these can be disabled and configured to your liking in Iris' shader settings.

take to the skies with aircrafts!

elytras won't get you flying around very well... so, what about some man-made aircraft? craft airplanes, helicopters, it's up to you! all upgradable with aircraft upgrades.

voice chat support!

talk to your friends in close proximity! powered by Simple Voice Chat.

works pretty well on low-end hardware!

as long as your system is capable of running minecraft decently at 60 fps or so, you shouldn't experience much problems with performance.

on some systems this can affect performance heavily, so i recommend turning the shader pack off if you encounter any performance-related issues.

a variety of content to explore!

ONWARD comes with a vast amount of content to explore and mess around with! whether that may be paragliders, different structures, biomes and more! whatever it is, i'm sure you'll always have something to do regardless.

• allocated memory: 2GB
  • this will make your game stutter depending on what you're doing.*
  • this is what i consider to be a "safe point" for ONWARD to run on.

recommended

• allocated memory: 4GB
  • this eliminates stuttering as a whole.
  • this is what i consider to be the best memory allocation for ONWARD.

ONWARD is a survival modpack currently in alpha that focuses on adventure and keeping the core feel of minecraft overall. this pack adds a variety of different mods and makes sure that there's always something for you to do and explore in the world!

what's so good about ONWARD?

over 250+ mods!

each mod has been hand picked to ensure a unique experience and there to ensure there's always something for you to do!

Essential mod support!

just like in my other modpack skel's client, this modpack also includes Essential support and works flawlessly, since the modpack was built with Essential support in mind.

a unique look!

ONWARD uses a cel shader inspired heavily by Lethal Company to provide a unique artstyle for the modpack. this can be disabled simply by pressing K in-game, or turning off the shader in video settings.

real time seasons!

depending on your time & date, seasons will change in real time! for example if you are playing in December, your world will be in the winter season. if you are playing in March, your world will be in the spring season. personally my favourite part about ONWARD!

voice chat support!

powered by Plasmo Voice, ONWARD has proximity voice chat support, allowing you to speak to people
