Ever had one of those two-week phases where you play the game? Ever said to yourself: "Man, I hate this game, it's too fun."

THEN THIS IS THE MOD-PACK FOR YOU!!

Featuring features such as:

  • No Tree Punching! Better protect those knuckles.
  • Enhanced AI! Now you actually have a reason to be scared of mobs!
  • Fire Arrows Ignite Fire! Just to burn your house down! NOT fun!
  • Tough As Nails! Just so you can die of dehydration AND hypothermia at the SAME time.
  • Nyf's Spiders! To fully enable your arachnophobia, they can now crawl on ceilings.
  • FirstAid! Now instead of having a health bar, you get one-shot by an arrow to the head.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!

Ever felt like you could see too much at night? BAM! Now you can't see anything!

Feel like the difficulty is too high? TOO BAD, it's locked to hard mode, deal with it.

For the fun parts.

This modpack contains Origins, including the Origins: Classes addon for a fresher experience. This has also been paired with Epic Fight and Spartan Weaponry/Shields for a great combat experience, aswell as a progression plan with the Epic Fight: Skill Tree Addon.

I hope this modpack fulfils your needs to not enjoy the game.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pain O' Plenty server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Pain O' Plenty server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Pain O' Plenty without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (forge) and same Minecraft version (1.20.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Pain O' Plenty server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
