About this Modpack

Quiltifine is a client side modpack for the Quilt mod loader that includes many performance, gameplay, and graphical improvements. These are all the mods I personally daily drive and I know various people have expressed interest in just downloading my set of mods over searching for mods on their own. Quiltifine also includes some mods that may only work on servers that have compatibility for them like Simple Voice Chat so don't have to install those separately. This pack is an all in one for everything you may need or want.

The file you download is a Modrinth .mrpack file that can be imported into many 3rd party Minecraft Launchers. When you run the .mrpack it should install all the mods from Modrinth meaning the file doesn't directly include jars and downloads them from their official Modrinth pages. The few mods that aren't available on Modrinth as far as I could tell had a positive response from others for being included in Modpacks but if any of them want their mod removed and contact me I will remove them from the pack. Since .mrpack modpacks download them from their original pages I figured that it'd be fine to include most mods. If any mods have any issues despite this they can feel free to ask me to remove them from this pack and I will.

I have already preconfigured all the mod's config to my personal liking but feel free to alter them all you want. I did not include my options.txt because I use wacky controls that I know most people wouldn't agree with so when you install it for the first time you may want to go into the controls menu and fix any invalid keybindings.

Small notes:

  • Midnight Controls to allow use of a controller. I recommend you close steam before using this feature if you choose to because the steam virtual controller seems to break the mod.
  • Midnight Controls Extras is also included which has some features that may not be allowed on some servers so remove it from your mod list if you're unsure.
  • Vivecraft is included and I recommend leaving it installed even if you don't use VR because it will allow you to see the hands and animations of others who are playing in VR.
  • Simple Voice Chat is included so you can use this on servers with proximity chat without any issues.
  • Replay mod is also included so you can record your gameplay easily in game if you wish.

Here's a full list of all the mods included in this pack for those who are curious: I categorized them B)

2

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "Quiltifine" and click "Install". The quilt loader and Minecraft 1.19.4 are configured automatically.

3

Frequently Asked Questions

Quiltifine server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong quilt loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Quiltifine server really need?

Minimum 4 GB, recommended 6 GB for stable performance. per 8 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €8/month).

Can I add custom mods to Quiltifine without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (quilt) and same Minecraft version (1.19.4). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Quiltifine server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 6 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
