About this Modpack

RanzioMon

RanzioMon is a Cobblemon-based multiplayer modpack built around progression, exploration, and competitive-style battles.

This pack is designed for a private server / content series experience, where players advance through a structured challenge route instead of simply rushing freely from the beginning. Train your team, explore the world, unlock stronger encounters, defeat custom trainers, and prepare for increasingly difficult gym leaders and league battles across multiple dimensions.

  • Support for all 1025 Pokémon through Cobblemon and additional compatible content.
  • Mega Evolution, Dynamax, Gigantamax, Z-Moves, and expanded battle mechanics.
  • A custom progression-focused gym and league system built around Radical Cobblemon Trainers.
  • Competitive-inspired trainer teams with custom movesets, EVs, IVs, abilities, held items, and battle formats.
  • Dimension-based progression, including Overworld gyms, Nether challenges, End leagues, and late-game distortion-themed content.
  • Expanded exploration with new biomes, structures, monuments, loot, and world-generation features.
  • Multiplayer-friendly systems such as voice chat, waystones, maps, shared exploration tools, and server-side optimization.
  • Extra building, decoration, farming, storage, and quality-of-life features to support long-term server play.
  • Performance-focused client and server optimizations for a smoother modded Cobblemon experience.

Progression

RanzioMon is not intended to be a completely open-ended Cobblemon sandbox from the first minute.

The pack is built around a progressive challenge structure where players grow stronger over time, earn access to harder battles, and prepare for stronger opponents. Gym leaders, elite trainers, and league members are designed to test team building, type coverage, held items, and battle strategy.

Exploration & World

The world is expanded with new terrain, structures, landmarks, loot systems, and dimensional content. Exploration is meant to matter: players can search for resources, discover important locations, travel between key areas, and prepare for harder stages of the adventure.

The server-side setup is designed with pregeneration and performance in mind, helping reduce world-loading issues during active multiplayer sessions.

Multiplayer Focus

RanzioMon is primarily balanced around a dedicated multiplayer server and content-series environment.

Single-player may work, but the intended experience is server-based, with progression, exploration, battles, and community interaction all happening together. Some systems may feel different outside of the dedicated server setup.

Credits

RanzioMon is built using Cobblemon and many community-made mods. All mods, libraries, APIs, textures, models, and assets belong to their respective authors.

RZGyms is the custom progression mod created for this pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ranziomon server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Ranziomon server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Ranziomon without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Ranziomon server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
