About this Modpack

WARNING: this mod was posted early since i wanted to show it to my friends.
ADDITIONALLY, IM VERY SURE THIS MODPACK DOES NOT RESULT WELL WITH LOW-END COMPUTERS OR OTHER DEVICES.

this product's quality is currently bad.
theres not much to add for now.

a realism modpack focused on acting like a realism modpack, but not everything being about real life.

what this modpack brings?

this modpack has a strong leaning towards Tinker's Construct and Create, it is Strongly recommended to understand how these mods works first. (or use TconJEI, Create's Ponder or even Tinker's Construct/Create wiki)
additionally, other notable mods would be Sophis backpacks, Petite Inventory, First Aid, Paraglider, Parcool, dyeable redstone, hardcore revival co-op, TaCZ, Alternative Earlygame (affects furnace recipe), Chalk, Dye Depot (adds more dye colors), and other mods i thought would possibly fit.

How is it played?

  1. (Normally, this mod was made with Hardcore in mind, but i suggest a regular world to learn a bit of the mod yourself.)
  2. with mods like First Aid, it becomes considerably harder to go just tanking ever.
  3. additionally, this mod also contains mods that makes early game stage last longer, since now you cant just punch trees and get wood; you'll now need a axe to do that, and a saw to cut it into planks.
  4. after crafting your first pickaxe, mine some iron ores, then use a Crushing Hammer to crush them to pieces, later smelt them on a campfire to get nuggets, which can be combined with clay to craft reinforced clay; then reinforced bricks, then finally, the furnace.
  5. from the spoken warning early, most of your proggresion is tinkers: but you should also explore and craft other items that will help you, like Spirit Orbs that can be used to increase max hp and stamina that is used to do parkour, for example.
  6. additionally, with the Thirst mechanic and well, water states, you must clean up the water by boiling it in a campfire or furnace, to avoid obtaining sickness while hydrating.
  7. craft a backpack, upgrade it so it can include more automation (not for more item slots, sadly.) and a tool belt that helps with carrying your unstackable items.

achivements also help a bit early game orientation, but i left a guide... above, oops.

  • Curseforge creators that got their work in:
Important if you want to use this modpack to do yours (or smth idk) note: you may do anything with this modpack, excluding posting it somewhere else (again, there would be modrinth modificators that wouldnt be happy), even if you plan to use this modpack for a bigger modpack, for example, please check if the curseforge modificators are still okay with this. (or remove if you dont need those mods anymore.)

Frequently Asked Questions

Realism: Overhated server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong forge loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Realism: Overhated server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to Realism: Overhated without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (forge) and same Minecraft version (1.20.1). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

Realism: Overhated server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
