About this Modpack

The cental focus of Scenic is to expand on what Minecraft has to offer. Better biomes, new structures, Quality of Life changes, and better interactability. The plan is to build off that clasic Minecraft nostalgia, and reinvent it. Hopefully this can make the two week phase last a little longer!
ATTENTION:
- This pack requires roughly 6GB of RAM to run smoothly, please make sure to manuelly allocate 6144MB of ram in the pack settings
MAIN FEATURES:
- Over 100+ new vanilla style biomes (William Wythers & Terralith)
- 40+ new structures (Dungeons and Taverns)
- Reworked sounds (Cool Rain, Presence Footsteps, AmbientSounds, and more!)
- QoL mods (Just Zoom, Dynamic Lights, Leaves Be Gone, etc.)
- Visual Enhancments (Iris, Particle Rain, Particular, plus many more.)
- Plus many MANY more mods!
This is an expanding project, which I'll update as much as possible. It's possible that there maybe frequent updates or tweaks, as well a plenty of bugs, but I'll work my hardest to keep it a fun and usable as possible. I'm currently experimenting with the introduction of some non vanilla expansion mods such as Create, but depending on how that changes the game I may or may not continue to make additions of that varity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Scenic server crashes or won't start – what to do?
Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.
How much RAM does a Scenic server really need?
Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).
Can I add custom mods to Scenic without conflicts?
Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.21.11). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.
Scenic server lagging – performance tips
1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
