The Simply Just Optimized (a fork of SO) modpack aims to provide a base of the best optimization mods available, configured for the maximum performance achievable. Thanks to countless hours of research, it often outperforms other optimization solutions in benchmarks, and when it doesn't, I investigate why to improve it further.

SO is explicitly built with simplicity and high maintainability in mind; the goal is to make for a reflection of the bleeding edge of Minecraft optimization at the time, and that's what the focus is on. That means little to no quality-of-life or visual enhancements are included in the pack by default - you are expected to add any non-optimization mods you want on your own.

This also means it's able to recieve mod updates with new performance improvements quickly, and update to new Minecraft versions in a matter of (sometimes)hours!

How to Set Up a Simply Just Optimized Server

Order Server

Choose at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended for Simply Just Optimized). Based on player count: per 8 players.

Install Modpack in Dashboard

Open the modpack browser in the dashboard, search for "Simply Just Optimized" and click "Install". The fabric loader and Minecraft 1.21.11 are configured automatically.

Start Server & Play

Start the server – all mods are loaded automatically. Share the server IP with friends and play together!

Simply Just Optimized server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 6 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a Simply Just Optimized server really need?
