About this Modpack

The Sploog SMP Modpack

Welcome to the official Modrinth page for The Sploog SMP Modpack (or TSSMPMP). While this is modpack is intended for use on the upcoming Sploog SMP server, we feel like we've created a very nice multiplayer Minecraft experience so it's available here on Modrinth for anyone to use.

  • Please note that his modpack has been archived and is not being actively maintained anymore. The ONLY version of Minecraft supported is 1.19.2.

Mod List

When TSSMPMP was still being worked on, a Moddermore link would be available for viewing here. You can still view mods for a specific version of TSSMPMP by selecting "View All" at the top of the version list and then scrolling to "Dependencies."

Supported Modloaders

Fabric (Recommended)

Fabric is the modloader of choice for actively compiling TSSMPMP, testing mod inter-compatability, and etc. If unsure on what modloader to use, then Fabric is the best choice for running TSSMPMP.

  • With Fabric, TSSMPMP can be ran right out of the box with what's included in the download.

Quilt (Requires Extra Setup)

Those who wish to use Quilt instead of Fabric may do so since Quilt is fully backwards-compatible with Fabric mods using the Quilted Fabric API.

  • Running TSSMPMP with Quilt requires the use of Quilted Fabric API and may require other dependency and/or compatibility layer mods than if you were to simply use Fabric.
  • The TSSMPMP team has not tested Quilt support and therefore cannot give accurate information on what extra mods would be required.
  • Quilt support will be fully implemented in the future since some mod developers of mods included in TSSMPMP are deciding to stop releasing versions for Fabric and fully transition to Quilt.
  • We fully support any reason behind switching from Fabric to Quilt, but using Fabric is currently the easiest way to play with TSSMPMP.

Forge (Not Supported)

We have no plans to ever support the Forge modloader.

  • Fabric mods have an entirely different architecture than Forge mods and cannot easily be ported.
  • Even if Fabric mods worked in Forge, we would not officially support Forge as we believe it is both a technologically and ideologically inferior software than Fabric or Quilt.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Sploog SMP Modpack server crashes or won't start – what to do?

Most common causes: insufficient RAM or wrong fabric loader. Check latest.log for "OutOfMemoryError" → increase RAM to at least 8 GB. For "Mixin" or "ClassNotFoundException" errors: modpack version and loader don't match. With Mado Hosting, loader and Minecraft version are auto-configured on modpack install – preventing most startup issues.

How much RAM does a The Sploog SMP Modpack server really need?

Minimum 6 GB, recommended 8 GB for stable performance. per 5 players. Important: Minecraft modpacks need more RAM than vanilla – plan extra per additional player. With Mado Hosting, you can scale RAM up live at any time without data loss (from €12/month).

Can I add custom mods to The Sploog SMP Modpack without conflicts?

Yes, but check compatibility: only use mods for the same loader (fabric) and same Minecraft version (1.19.2). Common issues: ID conflicts with recipe mods and incompatible coremod versions. The Mado dashboard mod browser only shows compatible mods and warns about known conflicts.

The Sploog SMP Modpack server lagging – performance tips

1) Increase RAM to 8 GB+. 2) Reduce server view-distance to 8 (server.properties). 3) Pre-generate chunks with the "Chunky" plugin. 4) Use /spark profiler to check which mods consume the most tick time. With Mado Hosting, all servers run on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores – eliminating hardware as a bottleneck.
